Great advice! Make a “free” jar before you start of a bunch of family activities that are free. This mason jar lives on top of our fridge and we pull it down when we are feeling bored and need a free thing to do. We LOVE this! 6 months of low spending to pay off medical debt and we are almost there. 🎉

That’s a great plan for many people to save. I try to sell on Facebook marketplace and then a garage sale and then donate everything left because that way my decluttering makes the most money but also leaves the house. Oddly I made very little money in my neighborhood yard sale so I stopped doing them but maybe times have changed. We have a $20 budget for eating out so we have to be intentional on our spending. Our grocery budget is $200 per month so we shelf cook every week to make it work. I think these steps will help others to get to life changing new budgets or at least save along the journey.
