This section was pure bullshit. Trial by error in a horror game is a bad design choice. Ruins all immersion and without immersion, a horror title falls flat.

I found the elevator thing and immediately just ran back to the transit area and spent so long trying to get past these people

I heard good things about this game and I tried to get into it 3 times but this section always made me remember why I stopped on my previous attempts.

This was the part that made me stop playing this game, I despise having to restart at the last save EVERY TIME I die. No idea why they wouldn’t just allow you to restart at least from when you pick up the tool, completely kills the suspense and build up when u have to listen to the same dialogue more than 5 times

Thank you so much for this. I was stuck on this part for way too long. I've been playing on hard and it's my first playthrough. It's almost impossible to sneak around people undetected.

This was the mission that killed the game for me. The stealth mechanics are so broken that they can se you from like 40 meters away

This part is genuinely fucking pissing me off, you kill one of them and the others immediately know, I don’t have a ranged weapon to deal with them either.

You stay crouched behind the couches and the guy in front sees you.

You try getting behind that thing in the left and the guy up top looks down and sees you.

You try running past them you get shot.

You try going up the escalator after somehow making it past the guy upfront, then the woman up top will see you.

And until watching this video I also had no idea where to go either.

I love challenging games, but I toned it down to the easiest difficulty and I only barely managed to get past them, this shit it pissing me off.

These NPCs must have eagle eyed vision and super sonic hearing cuz I cannot sneak past them for the life of me. Also doesn't help that there are 4 of them in a big open room with little place to hide. They'll hear me from across the room and turn around and shoot me. Weird encounter for so early in the game. The room they're in is so big, you'd think you'd have to explore it but nope, you just leave. Bizarre.

thank you for this, i just spent half an hour turtling in the vent trying to figure out some gap in their patrol patterns. i had no idea they were that dumb at the start, but this worked perfectly (though i also got shot going through the door)

I saved after picking up the tool, and now I can't do the stealth part anymore. Such bullshit and I'm about to uninstall the game.
