Perhaps Max's ability to rewind the time was a gift that gave her the last few days to be together with Chloe before facing Chloe's fate.

What's heart wrenching about sacrificing Chloe is that you'll also be sacrificing all the time you spent with her in the game. All the laughs, the tears, the memories, it'll all be gone in a choice. Chloe would die thinking she'd been forgotten by you, thinking that she'd been abandoned by Rachel, thinking she'd been left behind by everyone. She wouldn't even be aware that you're in the same room with her as she's dying. It all traces back to square one, and you're the only one alive to remember the 'memories' you had with her in another time.

I feel like this song perfectly describes Acadia Bay and BlackWell Academy. "Forget the horror here." Everyone just wanted to forget the horrors that happened there. "I'm the fury in your head." But it will lurk in the back of their minds. "I'm the fury in your bed." The events will leave them sleepless and if you chose to sacrifice Chloe there will always be an empty bed... "I am the ghost in the back of your head." The memories of these events... And Chloe and Rachel's ghosts will remain in their memory
This game made me realize even if you could go back im time and change something... Your actions will ALWAYS have consequences.

I completed this game last night and I still feel numb from the ending. As hard as the choice was to sacrifice Chloe I still feel like it was the right one, but it tore me up inside just like if I lost a friend in real life. It took me a long time to stop crying afterwards. This game will stick with me for the rest of my life.

this song has chloes death burned into it for me. horribly sad but beautiful ending. no matter what choices i made i always found it very difficult to pick chloe, just from how much max is shown to care for her :(

I see a lot of comments from people who saved chloe, I mean it's fine, but the meaning of this game is that sometimes you just got to accept reality and face forward, and also makes you realize that a lot of people are not what they seem and that they have good sides too (Nathan, Victoria, David, etc). At least that's the lesson I got from it
