“Bernie”, our rescue calf, is ready to leave his quarantine pen and explore the pasture. But first, he needs halter training and electric fence awareness for both his safety and our ability to manage him as he grows to full size.
No need for an unruly beast who breaks through fences and won’t walk on a lead.
He did a great job today and with a belly full of fresh greens, Bernie will sleep peacefully tonight in the comfort of his private calf igloo.
Who knew that homesteading could be so much fun! Come for a farm visit soon and meet Bernie and all the rest of the friendly critters that live on our 50 acre homestead. We love sharing the experience with guests of all ages!!!
