I would like to hear your thoughts regarding the protocol that I have heard some utilize that refers to keeping the metabolism 'guessing'.
Is it beneficial to do different styles of eating cycled through the week? Like the below example:
MONDAY - PSMF
TUESDAY - 18FAST
WEDNESDAY - BBBE
THURSDAY - 18FAST
FRIDAY - PSMF
SATURDAY - BBBE
SUNDAY - REFEED

Or is the body more apt to release excess fat if it is getting just shy of maintenance calories and it gets to feel like food is sufficient on a daily basis.

I hear both.... the body needs those safety signals and the body needs change.

Back story, I have been working on a reverse diet after decades of chronic dieting. I am someone who gains very easily and is super resistant to weight loss....I wonder if this 'confusion' to the body results in it holding on to those extra calories on the higher days because it knows there are days where it seems food must be scarce.

I'm at the point in my life where I no longer care anything about getting this weight off as fast as possible.
I want to improve my body composition for the long haul while improving health and making this super sustainable and no more yoyo and I don't care how long it takes.
