Great video John. Some fantastic pickups as well, that total recall 4K remaster is fantastic I thought. They're also releasing the Running Man on 4K on the 7th of November, I believe its listed on amazon. Another Arnie classic

TE is probably my fave Denzel Washington outing and a solid actioner. Crimson Tide, Ricochet and Fallen are great too.
It's also good to see you acquire the ST box set. I'm no Trekkie but i do enjoy the early efforts in the franchise featuring the original crew. ST IV: The Voyage Home is one of my fave '80s films.

Hi John, excellent pick ups, The Equaliser is an excellent action film, wouldn’t mind them making a third one. The Last Witch Hunter is a lot of fun and Salt is brilliant, I’ve seen all three versions, Angelina is great as an action fuelled character. Nice slips in all of them too👍 the thing with the Star Trek films is, the even numbers are regarded as the best (2, 4, 6 etc) Total Recall is an Arnie classic (I also enjoyed the remake) nice one mate👍🎃👍

Great pickups John. I think The Equalizer is a great film, almost on par with John Wick. That Star Trek box looks nice. 👌Just recently got my hands on Total Recall in 4k myself but have not watched it yet. Thanks for sharing.

Hi John. Some great films there. I really enjoyed The Equalizer. Was most unexpected when it came out. Pleasant surprise. I also think Total Recall is a good one on 4k. Picked it up on release and was very pleased with it. Last Action Hero is another good one if you havent got it. It didnt do very well when it came out but ive always enjoyed it

Some amazing pickups you got there John and I thought the Star Trek boxset in particular was quite brilliant. I'm looking to pick up the 4K releases of them but I want to get them at the right price. Total Recall is an absolute classic and I can't quite remember how well the 4K picture looked on that one. Thank you so much for showcasing that release from Arrow video of the two witches. I love the artwork on that movie and I think I might pick that up myself after seeing this. You will have to let me know what you thought of the movie when you get around to watching it.

Hi John, great video. Just some information regarding the equalizer 1 and 2. Both movies have been cut for their UK Blu Ray releases. The 4K for both are uncut, so if you are a fan of either the 4k's are definitely the way to go.

John: Can you believe it? Spooky coincidence! 👻

John: I’ve definitely seen them all, *I think?* 😆

Hi John,
I"ve become more of a Denzel Washington fan of late as i"ve bought quite a few of his movies in the last 6 months, a great actor indeed, & for a while watching The Equalizer movies i wasn"t interested in as i always enjoyed the tv series played by Edward Woodward, but gotta admit they are very good action movies, the sequel is decent but not quite as good as the first one, & a third movie is being planned for next year, you"ll enjoy the movies for sure.
A good price for the Star Trek movies, my fav was The Wrath of Khan, "Total Recall" a essential Arnie movie for the collection, high quality picks here Sir,

Hi John,
I have that Star Trek Blu-ray set myself. I notice that some of your viewers advise that the new 4K versions are a big upgrade...I wouldn't mind checking those out tbh but at nearly 6x the price for the 4K set I'm happy to stick with my Blu-rays for now.
I also have both the Equalizer movies on Blu-ray and think they are very solid...I was slightly disappointed to read another one of your viewers advising that they are slightly cut on the UK Blu-rays...argggh ! He's correct ! Oh well, that is a shame...but I don't think I can justify a 4K (uncut) upgrade on those movies. Incidentally, better than both Equalizer movies in my opinion is Denzel Washington's "Man on Fire"...a top quality action flick with superior character development and a terrific performance from Dakota Fanning...well worth checking out as the Blu-ray has excellent picture and sound quality (and is also uncut).
I don't own the Total Recall 4K but I have tried it on my system (Sony A90J, Sony UBP-X800, Denon AVRX4500H, M&K S125/V1250THX).
Although the picture quality is not amongst the best 4Ks you'll see it is acceptable...and a significant upgrade from the standard Blu-ray (which is quite poor imo). Sadly though, I cannot say the same for the sound...the mix on the 4K is extremely dull and lifeless compared to the original Blu-ray. Most reviewers don't seem to mention this but I came across one that did and it put me off buying the disk until I could check it out for myself. I got hold of the 4K disk and watched one of the action scenes on my system, swapping back and forth between the 4K and my original Blu-ray...the 4K has a much better picture for sure but the sound is so flat and lifeless that the movie experience is vastly inferior imo. You need good sound to carry an action movie...not just because you want to be drawn in by those action sound effects of bullets flying, punches landing and explosions...exploding ;-) but because you also want to feel the emotive impact from the accompanying background music...it's so important to delivering the excitement and immersion. I guess you have to judge for yourself but for me the 4K sound was so flat and dull that I decided not to upgrade to the 4K...I prefer the experience delivered by my standard Blu-ray (even if the picture quality is poor). I really like that movie though so I hope one day they'll release an "upgraded" version with picture quality at least as good as the current 4K and sound quality at least as good as the original standard Blu-ray...then I'd snap it up !

Hi John, Thank you for your video, some very good pickups there. I have that copy of salt and do enjoy that film, Angelina jolie was brilliant in that has a Russian spy and the story, stunts were incredible. The star wars pack seams good collection, never new there was so many of those films, seen a few on TV back in the day, enjoyed it then, be good to see a good, would buy that, thanks put on my wish list. The invisible man universal seen a few of them, can be little repetitive I found story wise, usually short films, similar things happening. Two witches down my ally, seen the trailer for that, scary, some great effects work, makeup, scares, will stick that on wish list. Thanks again john, take care. :) Jamie.

I really like the first Equalizer movie, it's a top film. I remember watching Salt a while back and I thought it was a decent movie. An Total Recall is one of my favourite Arnie movies. Great pickups John.

Hi John, I remember buying Deathwatch in a 2 for £25 in Sainsburys no idea on the other title but it's shocking when you think these DVD's are dirt cheap now. Total Recall is one of my favorites and a period of film I much prefer to all this cgi and green screen nowadays 😒 I've seen some star trek back when I was a kid as a group in my class was obsessed with it, never revisited the older stuff but seen the newer movies which was adequate.

Never heard of Death Watch John, I will have to see if I can get it. Equaliser for £2 is a bargin, it's a great movie. Some good deals at CEX. I have a few Invisible man movies from Universal, but I don't have Woman or Agent. Total recall, that brings back some good memories, I was in Florida when I saw that back in 1990. Two Witches is another one I need to see. Some great pick ups John.

Hi John. Death watch is sitting in my vast “to watch” pile as I heard good things about it and quite liked Outpost with Ray Stevenson 👍 The Equalizer is great, the 2nd one is decent and I believe the first sequel that Denzel Washington has ever done, which he must be digging on the character as I believe The Equalizer 3 is in production now 🤯
