hello, friends welcome to my channel techtalk101sd,
you might be thinking why can't robots or AI check the box
that says i'm not a robot.
now days robots and AI can do many complex things, so what is stopping them from checking a simple checkbox?
now the box is a new version of a system called captcha.
CAPTCHA (Completely, Automated, Public, Turing test to tell, Computers and, Humans, Apart).
old captcha used to look like this,
but as robots & ai got smarter, so captchas got harder and harder.
it became inaccessible to the visually impaired and also to us.
now By 2014, Google’s AI could solve text Captchas 99.8% of the time, while humans could only do it 33% of the time.
meanwhile, there are many websites that provide captcha services with low-wage workers working to resolve those captchas.
that is why Google introduced re-captcha.
so you might be thinking this is just a simple check box, then why can't a robot or ai do that?
well they can.
but the tick is not the test here. latest innovations involve analyzing mouse movements to distinguish between human users and bots. This method recognizes that humans exhibit unique movement patterns when interacting with web content, while automated scripts follow more predictable paths.
this method works the same in picture captcha also,
so what is stopping the captcha service providing websites to using cheap workers to do these new captchas.
the answer is modern re-captchas also examine your browsing history.
with previous browsing history system can identify if it is a human or bot,
you might be thinking, i have not given Google to use my browsing history,
yes you have. if you go to Google privacy page you will see this video.
so the latest version of re-captcha doesn't even need to check a box, they just use tracking information.
hope you learned something new.
