Thanksgiving Grocery Shopping & FOOD HAUL! Whole Foods, Trader Joes, & Walmart + Our Holiday Plans!

We have a week until Thanksgiving so it’s time to do some food shopping! I’m sharing our thanksgiving plans & taking you all shopping with us! Hopefully this provides some ideas for what you can do for your own thanksgiving or at least makes you as hungry as it made me! I hope you all enjoy!💕

My Thanksgiving tradition is to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and then I start listening to Christmas music. My family has our big meal for lunch so we can take naps and digest our food to make room for dessert! 😁😋

I enjoyed watching your shopping expedition. It reminded me that when I go to Whole Foods on Sunday I need to get some breadcrumbs for stuffing. I am posting my recipe below. It is adapted from what we made each Thanksgiving season as a lunch lady when I was in Utah. We made rolls every day and a lot of other things from scratch, unlike many other school caf's. You can use cream of mushroom soup instead of cream of chicken and an imitation chicken seasoning. I use McKay's chicken style seasoning but am not sure if Whole Foods carries that. If you use the vegetarian Better Than Boullion be sure to use it sparingly because it is rather salty but has good flavor.
BONNEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL STUFFING RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:
2 tablespoons butter
⅓ cup chopped onions
⅓ cup chopped celery
6 tablespoons butter, melted
1 can cream of chicken soup (add ½ can at first but if not moist enough add more)
1 tablespoon milk
½ tablespoon chicken base (I use McKay's Chicken Style Seasoning)
½ teaspoon poultry seasoning
¾ cup water
3 cups plain dry breadcrumbs
dash of celery salt, garlic powder and onion powder

PREPARATION:
• Sauté onion and celery in 2T butter.
• Add remaining ingredients except breadcrumbs and mix well.
• Add breadcrumbs that have been broken up.
• Place stuffing onto greased baking sheet and cover with foil.
• Warm in 325º oven for 20-30 minutes.

Hey Cris and Tampa Jay! Tammy here! Thank you for taking us along on your Thanksgiving and peanut butter shopping trip! My partner always cooks our Thanksgiving meal from scratch … Every year. I LOVE Thanksgiving foods! She cooks the turkey, homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, macaroni and cheese and more! The year I was undergoing chemotherapy she cooked one thing at a time and I’d get up, eat a bite and then go back to bed. If that’s not love, I don’t know what love is ❤❤❤ Shout Out to my partner Missy!

I'll do a separate post as my other was on a different topic than my favorite Thanksgiving traditions. Since Thanksgiving always falls during gun deer season, I have quite fond memories of being at camp with my father whose birthday also fell during this time. Before we'd set out at the butt-crack of dawn to go freeze in hopes of a good harvest, he'd squeeze a chicken in the small crock pot and it would cook all day. We'd come back to be greeted by this awesome smell...I can close my eyes right now and still see the sights and smells walking in. He'd make stuffing, taters, and some corn to round out our feast. Though I'd have to admit, my maternal grandmother always made the best stuffing...it had the fennel sausage in it. But I digress. For desert...or sometimes birthday cake for my dad, we'd have a pumpkin cream cheese torte from a local Milwaukee area bakery. Good times they were...yes indeed...good times.

As for the stores you went to in this video, I go to Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods all the time. Publix is another store I use of course. Just enjoy watching such simple videos such as this. I have a lil thing i like to do to my stuffing. Its just adding some cut apple pieces to any stuffing recipe that you make or even buy. It adds just something yummy to any stuffing my kids still ask me to make stuffing that way!

Hey guys, another great video about Thanksgiving shopping today! I mentioned last month that I grew up in Haddonfield, NJ; home of Debra Hill. Well it turns out, I have a fun fact about the green bean casserole that Tampa Jay is making. The inventor of this beloved casserole was a classmates mother, Dorcas Reilly, who worked in the Campbell’s Soup Co. kitchen in nearby Camden NJ. Nobody really knew this fact ( that I knew ) until many years later. My family makes it every holiday! Happy Thanksgiving to you both, and Bella too!❤
