excellent overview of the pocketboy.. that is the silky saw which i carry in my little edc bag, and whenever i go camping or hiking. like you said, it can cut a log twice the blade length, if required.. which is adequate for what i need in the NE USA. the blades on the silky saws are really amazing and sharp and produce very clean cuts. they are very efficient with a thinner blade, zipping through wood with much less effort than any other saw i've tried. because they produce such clean cuts, they are also great for bushcraft tasks. i like that they are "pull cut" only.. it's smart engineering and allows for a thinner and more efficient blade. i am really glad i got mine, i will definitely be buying more.. probably a second pocketboy 130 and maybe a larger one eventually as well.. though i have yet to require a saw for a task that the 130 couldn't handle.. i would like to be able to practice the siberian log fire :)

Awesome as usual, I'm watching this on my break at work. I love the Silky saws, and thanks again for introducing me/us to them. That is a great looking little saw, and it's only $30 on Amazon! Looks like I'll be adding another Silky to the collection. lol

Awesome Lars, thanks to you, i have now ditch the axe and I'm running a silky big boy and a pocket boy 170 that rides in my pocket. So much better! Of course an axe still has its place, just not in my pack anymore

Lars...here in Florida we had a beautiful day sunny and 21 degrees C.
Flip the saw around put a 3 inch knife edge on the forward spine and you have a saw and knife for your survival kit.
