Will be in Florence in June and would like to visit Siena and San Gimignano on a Sunday or Monday. Is one day better than another to ensure shops, etc are open? Also, what is the best way to travel from Florence to Siena, San Gimignano and then back to Florence? I assume we can train to Siena, then maybe taxi to San G, but not sure of best way to get back to Florence from there.
