-> 3 years ago a girl i had genuinely loved for 4 years rejected me because i wasn't good looking enough for her (she was gorgeous).
-> started hitting the gym hard, gained 23-25 kg
-> i ran across her a few weeks ago, she mentioned how much i'd changed and invited me to her house
->told her to fuck off

lesson learnt: sloots gonna sloots
(this is a real story by the way)

If your dad didnt give back that money, simple pickup would be so different today. You would be in prison teaching men how to pickup other men

In t he beginning you say that you almost became a criminal, then you mention criminal activities you did. Kong, I think you were a criminal mate

When i was 14 i was chilling near a river with some friends, having some drinks. However, i ended up drinking so much vodka that i fell into a coma. My friends then panicked and ran away, leaving me there to die. Eventually some other people ended up seeing me laying there and called an ambulance.
The lesson i learned: Trust nobody...

Kong should do a Ted talk about confidence.

First he gets rejected every time, now he can pick up random girls on the street. That is admirable.

As much as I love Kong, I get the feeling some of this story was fabricated.

My family struggled a lot as I was growing up. I learned to focus on what's outside the household as a means of not succumbing to depression.

Thanks for sharing this Kong. To be honest, I went through similar spirals of depression from loneliness and not having any real friends throughout all of middle school and parts of high school. It wasn't until my sophomore year in college that everything clicked. I was constantly brought out every weekend by two of my new friends, who've become some of my best friends now. Just like how you and jesse slowly built up your confidence over the course of going out for multiple days at a time, I built mine up through going out, talking, and meeting people, all while having the time of my life with these guys.

While I was in this transition, I did watch a lot of your early videos before project go and your boot camps were even around. They really spoke to me, and I'm glad you guys are still making waves in this field.

Since then, I've grown exponentially in some ways, but have lost sight in others. I grew to become a much better person, someone that isn't just a good friend, but also able to become more. I may not have my life figured out by any means, but at the least I know when I put my mind to it, I can really achieve my goal. Thank you everyone at Simple Pickup. You guys have slowly, but surely, been a factor in shaping who I am today.

I like you more Kong, I see a pattern in successful people in this world and you follow this pattern. 9 times out of 10 successful people grew up with nothing and we're tired of living in poverty and we're so fed up they finally decide they have to do something about it so they don't have to live like they once did as a child. Once a middle to low class kid is now a Co founder of what is now a business. Respect.

Thanks for sharing Kong! Coming from a family of Vietnam War refugees as well, your stories of parents constantly working long hours for low pay and living in a 1 room apartment (someone's garage in my case) really resonated with me. I also remember Christmas where we couldn't afford gifts so we'd go to the city hall where they'd hand out teddy bears. It's inspiring that people like our parents were able to make a living for themselves and their families while maintaining that high sense of values and morals.

At the same time I also resonated with the crippling fear and social anxiety. As a kid I was extremely shy and that made me a target for others. I always ended up spending recesses in the library by myself. In high school I never really had friends either. It's funny thinking back but I remember being jealous of people getting hugs from friends cause at the point I'd never gotten one.

It all changed for me the summer before college. I remember sitting down after an emotional exhausting day by myself and just getting irrationally angry. I hated how I was living my life and decided from that day on, I was going to change. It's been a long 6 years since then and I've gone through so many experiences, both highs and lows, but I've been able to make that change and become a someone I can be proud of. Although I didn't find my path through socializing with women, I'm happy to know that there are those such as yourself who came from such humble beginnings and became who they wanted to be.I hope that it inspires others who were in our position years ago to start developing themselves as well. Thanks again for making sharing your story.
