The Who - I Can't Explain (Live In Texas '75)

Filmed at The Summit in Houston, Texas on 20 November 1975, this concert captures a typically incendiary live performance by The Who at the start of the US leg of their tour in support of "The Who By Numbers" album which had been released earlier that year.

The original video footage has been cleaned and the sound remixed by longtime Who collaborator Jon Astley but the show still retains a rawness that encapsulates the energy of The Who's performance. The set list stretches across the band's career from classic early singles such as "My Generation" and "Substitute" through an extensive "Tommy" section and up to tracks from the then newly released "By Numbers".

Idc what anyone says Keith moon still had that gift of drumming until the day he died. On his worst days he was better than the rest.

Moon was just an absolute madman on the drums....

I was in Houston in '75, but missed this concert - so I'm going to make it up to myself by purchasing this DVD ! I just got back from seeing the Who's Quadrophenia & More concert in Greensboro NC last night. It was really good !

Faces drummer Kenney Jones said Moon couldn't keep time. Bollocks! Check out Moon from 1:58. On a good day, the best rock drummer in the world.

The Who's "I Can't Explain" released December 3, 1965. Earliest "punk" record? I certainly think so.

It's weird, whenever I hear the drums from 75 and 76 it's almost as if they have a flange filter or something on them. I prefer the pure sound of the earlier live stuff.

That's the real early Who there. That's from December 1964.

I need this dvd too. Is it a bootleg or what? I saw a dvd, I think, of the '75 tour, can't remember which show, at a record store in Downers Grove.
