Thanks for sharing. I'm taking a college course with a deaf gentleman and it will be nice to chat with him.

Thank you for this, and for including captions! It's incredible how many ASL videos aren't captioned.

This has helped me a lot, my best friend is deaf and we barley get to see eachother because she lives so far, this has helped me communicate with her a lot better then before!! Thanks!

Thank you for explaining how to slow down your instruction videos, using the three dots. It's so helpful to slow things down when I find the lesson too quick paced for me to keep up with. I'm expecting to learn quite a lot with such a qualified instructor. Thank you again.

This is AMAZING!! I work in healthcare (specifically ENT) and see a lot of deaf and hard of hearing patients. I haven't made it through all of your videos yet, but I noticed there is a common batista word tutorial. If you haven't already, hospital and ear related vocabulary (cochlear implants, hearing aids, and phrases like "do you need new domes or filters, " "do you need any assistance, " "can I get you a glass of water, " and "are you checking in") would be SO HELPFUL!! You are DA BEST!

Thank you so much. I work as a Covid screener at our hospital. A sign translator was waiting for her client to arrive and I showed how I could sign my name. She asked me where I learned that. I said a friend of my younger sister is deaf and she taught my siblings and I how to sign our names 40 years ago. The client arrived, walked over and gave me a great big hug...it was her...true story. I also speak Portuguese having lived in Brazil for many years, I also can function in Spanish and French and when I speak their language, their faces light up.... I think it's important to at least try...Thank you so much that I can now sign HOW ARE YOU, I'M GOOD" (the good way) and HAPPY. You're the best.

I would definitely love if you could begin series of beginner videos on the basic things just like this one! I know you have videos for people of all levels in sign language but I think more beginner videos would be so helpful!

I LOVE these videos. At the grocery store where I work, there's a deaf girl and her family who come in all the time, and I want to learn some sign language so that I can communicate with them better!

Your videos are great and very helpful. You make it easy and fast to learn. I'm learning for work because on occasion I get a few deaf customers and i would really like to make them feel welcome. And especially have a conversation with two people I see regularly. Again Thank You!! ☺

Meredith, I really appreciate how you sign the words at normal speed first, and then you often slow it down, and point out details like the hand shape, and you turn to the side. We get to really see the signs and take them in. When someone is a beginner like me, I may not notice the details unless you point them out. I also appreciate that you show alternatives (like "good" with one hand). You're a great teacher!
