I personally have been using the ZERO water filter for years now. My Dad got the Zero H2O filter during its inception over a decade ago when the water filter almost looked like a mini bucket. He kept telling anyone he could, to taste the difference and believe me there is a MAJOR difference.
The water is lighter (dense-wise) in the mouth and crisp and is overall so much more refreshing. I cant go back to regular tap water TBH.

The cons...
1. Its true that the filtration process takes a long time. I just make sure I prepare my H2O in advance so I dont have to wait so long (like while im at my computer)
2. When the filter is close to the end of its life the Water takes on an almost.. Bitter, Citrus-y taste which I have read is because of part of the Ion exchange
3. You can avoid this by using the water tester that they provide. In my State (on the ZEROS website) It will give you an approximation of how long you have with your filters. The testers usually say something like 006ppm is a good time to change them.

The Water Drop’s “Smart Water Quality Meter” indicator light is just a date clock…right? It just counts down to the recommended 6 month filter replacement date. It in no way “measures” the filter’s effectiveness. Great filter though…fast, long lasting, moderate expense…good selection.
