Congratulations for your channel, which my son (14) and I (43) have been watching for as long as I can remember. It's great that you post videos about outdoor shoes even if you claim that it is not a big issue. I just wanted you to have in mind that even if it is not important for the US hooper, there are a lot of fans of your channel around the globe and in many countries playing on outdoor cement and asphalt courts is not the exception, but rather the norm (e.g. Greece). As someone who plays mostly outdoors, I am loving my Dame 5's. The outsole isn't as hard, but man have they been lasting and it's got just the right amount of cushioning. If you can find a pair in your size then I'd recommend them.

Nike custom id offers an xdr outsole which is for outdoors. I cant find any videos that review this. You could design a pg4 with the xdr outsole for example.

Nice video. I agree softer rubber outsoles are likely intended for indoor use. For example trail running outsoles are often harder rubber for durability reasons, but can feel kinda slick indoors. Similar idea with warm season tires... the rubber gets harder in the winter cold, so they use softer materials with snow tires for better traction. Also, screw the haters-- with gyms likely closed your only option right now is to ball alone on an outdoor court. Btw what is this "fuse" material you mention? I've never heard that term used before. Maybe toe rand, toe cap, toe guard etc.

They don't make hard outsole because they want players to buy their shoes as long as their outsoles are worn out. It's a marketing strategy to encourage people to buy more products, just like apple.
