The thing is it's possible the devs are against the war in Ukraine, but if they are, what do we expect them to say? Should they state their opposition to the war directly and have the government swiftly come after them, canceling their project and possibly throwing them in prison for speaking against the state? I think I will get this game, partly because it just looks conceptually fantastic as well as graphically and I like supporting new game creators who do such promising work.

this game looks like a zany twisted soviet wonderland. high tech yet the infrastructure is archaic. I'm really looking forward to do a deep dive into the lore and game.

I find it ironic & idiotic that people find this game tied to the war yet I've been following the Development Team & backed them when they first developed in 2015 far before the war started

Considering Western journos did not jump on the Atomic Heart hate bandwagon and most sources originated to Ukranian articles, it always felt like people trying to muddy the waters right before the release to get the game boycotted. At this point, the main culprit has now sold many more copies with all of his dishonesty.

Controversy: RUSSIA BAD!!! Btw, the game looks awesome, like Bioshock Infinite but more creepy. Hope is not only in the trailers and the game will be in a good state at the release.

Well, the studio IS russian. They have two offices in russia, one is in saint-petersburgh, and the second one is in moscow. They pay the taxes to the russian goverment in fact, and the money they are gonna make with this game will partly go to financing russian goverment and, of course, war. I'm not saying that the game is bad(tbh, i don't really care about the game) This is the real reason anyone who really supports ukraine shouldn't buy this game. Definitely, it won't bring that much of the income to the russian goverment, but still, I personally don't want people to finance russian goverment which is killing citizens of my country.
