I've been enjoying the fire coverage Gordon! I've been in and out of the Eaton fire, and its definitely crazy to see, and it'll be hard to forget it. I saw a few houses with several classic cars, including Porsches gone. Most of the cars were completely destroyed, and some cars or collections destroyed were worth more than several of the homes around it

I learned from someone who had a wood stove fire with his car in the garage that survived. Regardless if the vehicle survives, the intense heat can make the insulation on the vehicle's wiring to become brittle in time and fail. So this is a word to anyone whose vehicle survived the fire and your insurance company wants you to settle right away with just a detailing.

A lot of those older vehicles are tanks. They withstood the heat a lot better than new cars since they use a lot more metal, less plastics etc

Love how that undisclosed underground garage looks like a scene from Fast & Furious. Those babies are so fine to look at.
And yes, to me it’s fascinating to see those classic cars just casually parked on the street side while everything else around is burned down. Such a contrasting view.

That interactive fire map reminds me of the wildfires that we had here in Texas in 2008 were sadly I lost both family homes that I grew up in as well two of my neighbors lost their homes as well, amazing though no one died but several horses, cattle and other livestock did die. As a lifelong international car guy and Texan I just want to thank you for having a all around great YouTube channel and the way you put your videos together is perfect in my opinion. I would like to add to there are several companies that deal in exotic car collections and to the best of my knowledge some massive car collections are in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada.

Was looking at Google Earth and i was shocked how vast the damage was and very strange how there a small section of house that was untouched in the Palisades yet everything about was gone. Glad some got there cars out safe, i just feel for those that didn't, especially the dude who lose his classic car collection

If that's a real Daytona Spyder next to the 959 it's nearly as rare as the 599 SA Aperta 🤯 Only 122 Daytona Spyders were made by Ferrari but there are coupes that have had the roof chopped off floating around events.
