Staged, staged and oh yeah staged! Btw I have been dumpster diving for over 4 years including Gamestop so it's not that I don't believe you can find decent stuff including gaming systems but no way is Gamestop going to throw out a PS5 let alone any PS5 games.
In fact I recently found a huge box of games at one that I dive 92 games total. Mostly they were sports games but about 40% of them were actually non-sports and a few decent games in the mix.
I have found a total of 7 gaming systems but they would not be throwing put PS5 games or a PS5 system as they have an internal department that refurbished the games so they can be sent back out for resell at another Gamestop even if someone brought back one they bought there or traded one in which I don't believe happened because you would lose a lot of money doing that.

Take in the fact the box isn't wet from where it was
And that the ps5 is a brand new console, why would GameStop throw out a very profitable system that they could easily resell
And why would they throw out a ps5 game that could easily be resold?
Also 75% of most times game discs will not be in there cases.
Also the ps5 games wouldn't be in the cases as they're new and the only reason they'd throw them out if it was empty
