The wisest thing that should be on everyone's mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on the govt. Especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in Gold, Silver and digital currencies (BTC, ETH...)

Add in all the states that increased minimum wage on January 1, 2024. Illinois increased it's minimum wage by over 7%, On January 1st 2025, the hourly wage increases again by $1/hr.
All these states increasing minimum wage is inflationary. Businesses pass these increases to the consumer.

The WSJ had a recent story about the fact that giving free health insurance to people doesn't reduce mortality or disability. Many studies have also found that more healthcare doesn't result in more health.

Private sector jobs that are gov contractors still cost us money, Peter. It's not as simple as public vs private because of how prevalent gov contracts are.

US assets pumped to the sky nearly every day for 15 years and you told us not to buy every chance you got. Instead, you said buy miners which have been destroyed or metals which have done nothing. In other words, you were disastrously wrong. Whatever credibility you think you got from the housing bubble has been more than wiped out by this disaster.
