Rus🇺🇦(882-1240) is
a Ukrainian medieval state🇺🇦.
The chronicle "The Tale of Bygone Years" was written 300 years later than the real events that took place and is therefore an unreliable source. To prove that what is written in this chronicle is true, it is necessary to find additional evidence in the form of archaeological research and international historical documents (one mention in the chronicle is not enough). If in the case of Kyiv there is archaeological research and all the necessary evidence confirming its existence in the 5th century, then in the case of Novgorod there is none of this.During the reign of Rurik, Novgorod did not exist, as evidenced by archaeological research by the Soviet archaeologist Artemy Artsekhovsky and the absence of any international historical documents.
In Arab sources, Novgorod appeared no earlier than the 930s. From this follows a logical conclusion: Novorod did not exist before 882, and therefore the northeastern Rus that the world
criminal Putin so obsessively talks
about never existed.
And since northeastern Rus did not exist, there is no objection to the fact that
Rus🇺🇦(882-1240) is a
Ukrainian medieval state🇺🇦.
Rurik is an absolutely fictional "historical" character who appears only in the unreliable chronicle "The Tale of Bygone Years", which was written 231 years
later than the real events.
The Rurik settlement is not proof of the existence of Rurik. Since it began to be called "Rurikov" only in the 19th century. In addition, there are no written sources or inscriptions on the walls such as "Rurik was here" that would confirm that Rurik really was in this settlement. Ladoga was also never the capital of Rus'🇺🇦 because, according to archaeological research, the capital of any medieval state of that time could not have had a population of 100 people and have an area the size of a tiny Moscow village. There was no transfer of the capital of Rus'🇺🇦 from Kyiv to Vladimir in 1169, and then to Moscow.
The relations between the princes
were family, not administrative.
Andrei Bogolyubsky did not participate
in the campaign against Kyiv in 1169 and was not even its initiator.
This campaign was actually led by his son Mstislav Bogolyubsky. There was no burning of Kyiv, since archaeological research showed that there were no street battles in 1169. Similarly, Kyiv did not lose its political importance after 1169, since the interpersonal struggle
for the throne in Kyiv continued until the end of the existence of
Rus🇺🇦 (until 1240). In 1201 and 1204, Kyiv was captured by Roman Mstislavovich, the ruler of the Galicia-Volyn Principality🇺🇦 (1199–1349), and in 1239, Kyiv was captured by
Roman Mstislavovich's son
Danilo Romanovich🇺🇦
, the future king of
the Kingdom of Rus🇺🇦 (1199–1349).
