Way to wing it Ken! I think I enjoy these kids toy projects as much as my grand daughters enjoy playing with them. They look forward to your videos as much as they do playing with the toys.. it's become one our things! Thanks Ken from Ellie, Addie... and Dennis!

Love the projects for the little ones! I’ve never seen a young child that did not like playing with a phone, toy or real. I have an old Bakelite telephone that my grandchildren loved to “make calls” on. This version is very child friendly and I’m sure will provide hours of fun for any child. Hope all is well with you and your family, and hope you’re still rolling those Gnocchi every so often 🥰🤠

Your granddaughter is going to love the retro phone looks like a simple project, I remember those phones growing up don't drop the base or the receiver on your foot lol, and you could get the phone in any colour you wanted as long as it was black lol Thanks Ken have a great weekend

Kenny, what a great project for your granddaughter. Very simple yet quite realistic. As an added benefit she will know at a very young age what an old fashioned telephone looked like….lol

A fun project to watch and I'm sure your grand-daughter will love it. The wood contrast gives it some class along with the engraving. I can remember picking up our phone and asking for the operator and giving her the number to my friend's house. Plus the number of times I would pick up the phone and listen to two ladies gossiping lol. My mom would holler out and tell me to carefully put the receiver down and wait my turn lol. Then came the rotary phone...the fun was over lol. Kind of miss old Ma Bell! Those were the days! Enjoyed the show! Take care!

🥰🥰🥰 I'm going to be at the WV State Farm Museum, Point Pleasant, WV 1st weekend in May, 2023. There I'll be operating a wood shop from before power tools. The only power for lathes, the bandsaw is foot power.

Sooo disappointed that the dial didn't rotate back to the starting position, with the requisite sound .... joking aside, I absolutely love this ... what a stunning looking toy for a child ... hours of fun 👍
Couple of additions ... a metal plate and magnet embedded into the wood to allow the handset to attach to the base ... extend the bottom section forwards and cut a slot in it to act as a build in handle for carrying it about.

Another top quality, engaging video Ken! My only query is that will someone the age of your grandaughter actually know what this telephone is?

With all due respect Kenny, I don't think your granddaughter is going to have any idea what this retro telephone is or how to play with it. It will be a teaching moment to have with your granddaughter and how the phrase "tied to your phone" came about. A nicely done project nonetheless.
