Of course it was known. They are literally the same company, overseen by the same people. This is an open and shut case.

The real question is who was he donating too and how much deposit funds was used.

It's been said that people who have severe ADHD can't understand the risks they face. I think this case proves it. Sam could have fled to another country, he could have hid out with all this money. He could have made a plea deal early on. He could have done all sorts of things but he chose the worst possible outcome in going to trial on a case that he is certain to lose
