Finally got to play Dragon Quest 1, 2, and 3 again before I die. No matter what form it comes in, it always brings me happiness.

I really hope I’ll get the chance to play 4, 5, and 6 in this style too—though the Nintendo DS versions were already amazing.

Call me a sentimental moron, but I swear I felt Toriyama back with us at the stunning recreation of the rainbow bridge forming near the end of DQ1.

Dragon quest 2 is one of the most underrated in the saga, it maintains a certain simplicity but it is where the best mechanics that have been maintained to date were neglected and the difficulty of the original for NES and other factors ended up greatly affecting the gaming experience. Even so, I highly recommend it, the adventure and the search for certain key items, as well as the music, the design of the characters and the dungeons are completely worth it. 100% recommended.
