The more electronic gadgets you have, the more trouble you get. I can see the sensors for the mirrors going out in the middle of the freeway and the driver trying to get it off the road.

A lot of people don't like change...especially when the change looks like that truck. Hybrid is a good idea, until the battery needs replaced. As for digital items...hit or miss; I still like old school gauges.

Looks like a giant dollar store storm trooper helmet 😂

This is what is replacing the 389? The trucking industry is really going down the gutter like a lot of people are saying

Semi trucks should have been hybrid. Not full electric but the hybrid concept is perfect for long haul.

While I don't mind the front seat area my biggest issue would be where am I gonna put my fridge? Or what about passengers? As my kids like to split the summer and ride with me. As for the outside I think it looks fugly as hell and would definitely take a 389 over the new one any day.

I am more concerned about cost and durability than looks.

When I started my old trainer said two things will end your career faster than anything else. Right hand turns and blind side backing. Now they’re making trucks blind on both sides since you’re fully centered and have no direct vision. I’ve also seen safety articles promoting making semis make right turns only like UPS has done. Stating that semis have more wrecks turning left than right is like saying Nascars have the same problem. Good to see all the safety people making the most unsafe parts of our job mandatory

Design is not bad . Slope on the hood is not extreme. I like the center steering wheel.

a lot of people dont like change, a lot of people dont like to wake up and think for themselves either. and the ones that do, will learn to appreciate the ones that dont.

I like it. It's got that "so ugly it's kinda cute in it's own way" look to it

379's just went up another 20k in value because of this 😂

Just like everyone else Peterbilt had something that wasn’t broken, but decided to fix it anyway.
That looks like shit!

Those drivers that open the door and stand outside for backing up will need longer Arms.

I think it looks pretty cool. Can't really get mad at this.

center drive won’t work because you need to be close to a window to communicate with people.. and using proximity to lane markers is more reliable for positioning than trying to position in the middle of the lane, especially in construction zones. the mirrors are located at the pillars increasing visibility. other than the seat, it’s solid.

Might work for some, but I see the center steer being a huge issue for not only my part of the industry, (hopper bottom) but also those of us that have a couple decades under our belts, retraining eye and muscle memory would suck, if at all possible for us old geezers.

I retired from Truck Driving 3 years ago and I don’t like this center seat position idea. Backing into tight spots might be more difficult.

I think it looks alright but if they discontinue the 389 and traditional conventional hood trucks with traditional drive lines and styling sales are going to tank
