Put a chest of drawers to the right of the fireplace and have the sofa facing the fireplace. Lighting for the desk is better by the window. Lovely flat!! You sound happier so this was a good move !!!

Congratulations on your new home! It's so exciting to be moving and starting a new chapter in life!!! I wish you all the best! I'm sorry if this is to intrusive, but as an arquitect I can't help myself ! I would also put the sofa facing the fireplace, maybe one or two chairs by its side, facing the window ( in front of the bathroom wall ). Then the work desk in front of the radiator or in front of the tv plugs wall ( maybe even one desk on each side, one for work and one for the tv) and then, I woukd place a small dining table close to the windows. When eating alone is always good to be looking at something, and I ( personally) love having my meals, specially breakfast, in a calm, pretty place full of light. If you are not planning on having a dining area, then most definetly put the work desk in front of the windows! It's such a lovely place, whatever you choose will look beautiful and cosy! Super curious to see it finished! 🏠🎉❤️

some advice gratis from a NYC Interior Designer ... I would face the sofa to the fireplace and put your desk in front of the windows or on the radiator wall. If they face away from each other the spaces will feel separate.
