Train Simulator 2021 - SECR Manning Wardle No. 313 (first look)
Показать описание
During a recent sale on the Caledonia Works site, I picked-up one of their more recent add-ons. The locomotive in said add-on is the unique Manning Wardle 0-4-0 saddle tank built for the South Eastern and Chatham Railway in 1881.
Today we'll be taking the little 313 for a run on the Merioneth and Llantisilly route, which is a Steam Workshop recreation of the railway featured in the 1950's/70's television programme 'Ivor The Engine'. This route is well suited for little 0-4-0 tank engines like 313.
We start our run at Ivor's Shed, and our task is to run a passenger service from Llaniog to Tewyn Beach via Llanmad. But first, we must run the engine to the sidings at Llaniog, pick-up the coach and (very unusual) brakevan before reversing into the platform and starting our run to the beach.
I made the mistake of using a Mk1 coach on this route, as it has curves that are too sharp for long bogie coaches. Somehow the coach made it around all the curves without derailing. Next time I make a video on this route, I'll hopefully remember to use 4-wheel coaches.
Also seen in this video are two other tank engines in the South Eastern & Chatham Railway green livery. These are as follows:
A1 class 0-6-0T No. 751 (formerly LB&SCR No. 54 'Waddon)
H class 0-4-4T No. 263
