A short guide that explains how to use Microsoft Immersive Reader to open up accessiblity features for students and teachers.

Microsoft Immersive Reader is a really useful accessibility tool that uses proven techniques to improve reading for people regardless of their age or ability.

If you have Office 365 (now Microsoft 365) then you'll already have access to Immersive Reader. It's part of Word, One Note, Outlook, Teams and more.

It allows students to remove distractions from their screens, change the size of the text, the colour of the backgrounds and even have the text read out to them if they wish. Students with visual impairments or conditions such as dyslexia will find this a very useful tool.

Superbly informative, Danny. No pfaffing around, just straight into it with 'immersive' coverage. Your Video is greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much. I have a problem please. When I use this feature in michrosoft word it reads only in English language it doesn’t read other languages. And when I use it in office 365 it read the whole lines. Whole text at once. Not line by line. Would you please explain this for us. 🎉🎉🎉

I've noticed that the immersive reader voice always stutters, repeating the same word. Is there a way to fix that?

Hi, thanks for this video!
Could you please explain hiw to get the same options that are on Microsoft Office in Microsoft word.
It looks different and I can't find the dictionary, pictures, nouns and verbs on the Microsoft word.
Thanks
