I lived here all my life and moved away 6yrs ago. I never thought I would miss it but I do. I especially get homesick in Autumn and Spring. Terre Haute certainly has her own unique charms and eccentricities that I really love. I often think of returning.

I am an international student in Terre Haute and I would say that it is a pretty good place to study and live. BTW I live in uptown area.

45 years of my life in this City...Never thought I would miss Woodshire Dr. and sledding in the winter down the hills of Deming Park. Nights of Dobbs...

However within recent years this city has become dirty run down and trashed. Nice neighbors that were very nicely kept are now filled with trucks broken down cars on the lawn. Parks and neighborhood destroyed by outsiders. It was a nice city. My old neighborhood was fabulous during the holiday seasons now it looks crazy only a few people still keep up with their property. It's now one of the most racist areas of Indiana. No thanks to outsiders
