The first time I watched it i was so shocked too, because I don't think we've ever seen Ru so mad like that. Sure there were moments when she was upset and had to snap back when a queen tried to give excuses when failing a challenge, or when she gave suggestions and the queen just ignored. But never like this, where she's literally swearing at a queen

And I also like how it became a huge joke on the later seasons. Whenever a queen would walk on the runway wearing some type of mask the judges would say the classic "I'd like to keep it on, please" 😂😂😂

Ru was mad cuz she was gonna crown her and she fucked it up😭 Ru literally says in Valentina’s goodbye quip, “I thought *YOU* had what it takes to go *ALL THE WAY* 😐“

Valentina was not only favored but ppl are delusional to think she wasn’t gonna win up until that point. They literally stopped the lip sync to give her another chance. All she had to do was simply know the words and they would’ve kept her over Nina. Which is also why Nina was so sad bc she knew she wasn’t finna stay and yet she somehow did under those crazy circumstances.

I love Drag Race, I love the thought of it being peoples seasons to win and then throwing it all away bc they got too comfortable. Even “Nina n Tina” thought they were safe bc they knew the judges loved them so much. They just didn’t see it coming and that made for an even more compelling episode/season.

Season 9 is one of the best if not the best season of drag race, and the perfect one to start new watchers on to get them excited about the show.
