Only on paper do we have rights, but in practice, you cant file for those rights without a 10, 000$ retainer for a lawyer to take it to court. I did that, spent 50, 000$ only to see article 10 (1 ans 2) of the rights of the child denied my son, who is forbidden to leave his own country (Singapore), until he is 10, thats 5 years without his right to travel in and out of his own country to have family reunions with parent or other relatives. Only in extreme circumstances can this right be denied by a court, but the child was denied his rights, with no explanation as to why, . When i raised article ten of the rights of the child, the lawyers said 'a judge in Singaporte does not have to justify his deicsions" i then asked 'even if it breaches a United Nationstreaty?' and the lawywer pursed his lips and remain silent. I cant contact the UN myself, and the British Government tell me i need to ask lawyers in Singapore. I did, they took my money, and self-censored themself, just like the Singaporean Press. Singapore is hiding cases of child abduction like my son, and are breaching UN human rights treaties, using their power of sovereignty within their own borders. The world commission on the rights of the child is impossible to implement by any person in need. - Article Ten of the rights of the child says what all the laws say; "you have this right, unless we say otherwise" and they say otherwise when it suits them. This means 'You dont have any rights unless we allow them'

Parliamentarians in Iceland are have issued a joint statement saying that *circumcision violates the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child* . If their bill is passed, it will be 6 years in jail for either *Male Genital Mutilation* or FGM. If such a bill were to pass in Australia, it will, in New South Wales, be 21 years in jail for *Male Genital Mutilation* as well as for FGM. *Male Genital Mutilation* is a human rights violation. It is a deliberate genitourinary injury and is neurotraumatic and psychotraumatic. It is gender-based violence perpetrated only upon male children. Meanwhile, the National Children's Commissioner, Megan Mitchell, is yet to utter a single word in defence of genital integrity as a fundamental human right for male children. Human Rights Commissioner, Edward Santow, says the AHRC has not taken a policy on circumcision. They do, of course, take policy positions on both FGM and Intersex Genital Mutilation. What is UNICEF Australia's policy position on genital integrity? Is it a fundamental human right of boys, or just the exclusive preserve of female and intersex children? Ruby did not explain to Jack that, in Australia, he may be *circumcised* or *subincised* without his informed consent, just because he was born of the male gender.
