I believe soft skills do not add to the synergies (only for druid summons they do)... so the +3 to poison and bone is nice but you dont get an extra +21% to bonespear from the synergies because of it. Unless they changed it

Best if you're under level 18 since bone spear only appears in lvl18+ bone wands and so these will have a red background. It will make it much faster to check. It's also a good idea to dump your money into a shared stash so that you don't accidentally buy the wrong wand. It's a tedious task and you might get overly excited and not realize it's a magic item. I've been trying to get a 3, 3, 3 with Bone wall and corpse explosion. Lastly, there's an existing bug with D2R where the game will crash after you run in and out of town 15-20 times. Turn on fps and you'll know when your game will crash once your FPS starts to dip to half your normal FPS. This seems to be caused by texture loading issues.

The more stats on the base wand the more expensive it gets. 3, 2, 2 with 2 sockets can cost over 150k gold with superior wands costing as much as 550k. You can get non-sockets and use a cube recipe of Ral + Amn + Perfect amethyst to add scokets. It's a 5/6 chance to roll 2 sockets on the bone wand. Wth just +3bs and two sockets is about 90k gold.

Played this game more then a decade ago and got it again. Loved the necromacer but I never knew all these rune combos and getting these ridiculous gear

Soft points don't add synergies (the exception to this is Druid), so you really only need a bone wand with +3 to bone Spear and maybe +3 to corpse explosion if you could stand shopping that long. Sometimes you find it right away, but the last time I shopped it took me almost 20 minutes with a gate right next to Drognan just to find +3 bone spear

That being said, bone necro is my favorite 1st ladder character since White is so easy to make and he does really well with not that much gear. Runs are obviously slower than sorc, both because the damage is lower and no teleport, but a teleport staff does fine until you get Enigma and I don't mind the longer runs since I can kill 99% of enemies. Bone Necro can easily solo farm the end game areas like Chaos Sanctuary and Throne of Destruction with fairly budget gear since so few things are immune to magic and corpse explosion/mercenary easily take care of the 1% you can't kill. He's also really safe with bone prison and bone armor as well

Nice video. Trying to get myself one of these. Can you explain why you said to only look at the one type of wand with the "bone" aesthetic? Does it have a higher chance of being socketed or coming with bone skills or something?

One more tip and trick to this look for it in a lvl 17 char. The wind is level 18+ so you don’t have to look through every wind to find it.

If you stay poison/bone, the best white base also has lower resist or revive so you save 4+ talent points on those and prereqs.

There should be more wand runewords, and some runewords for necro shields. Some runeworrds for pally shields, some runewords for Druid manes and barb helms. I also think a few more for staffs and some for sorceress orbs would be nice. It’s too bad there’s no sockets for javelins ):

Quick question: Where's the logic behind "farming on hell difficulty" to get an item which I'm only going to use in one playthrough? When I reach hell difficulty I already played through the game twice.
That's a serious question. I don't get the logic behind this. Or am I missing something?

I believe you can wait till Larzuk (sp?) socket quest after buying a no socket BONE Wand only if you don't want to find a 2 socket Bone Wand with +3 Bone Spear on it. That could take a longggg time.

i like to make a cow level portal next to akara in act one, i think going in and out of the portal is faster than walking in and out next to drognan -- i also open a cow portal next to gheed if i need something from him! make those cow portals work for you!

Would plus +2 to all skills be a good fit for a summoner 🤔 I use bone shield
