PM Modi Full Speech: PM Releases Rs 20,000 Crore Under PM-KISAN Scheme | PM Modi In Varanasi

PM Modi in Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Varanasi on Tuesday, his first visit after assuming office for the third consecutive term. During his visit, the prime minister will participate in the PM Kisan Samman Sammelan and release Rs 20,000 crore as part of the income support scheme for over 9.26 crore farmers. At around 7 PM, Modi will witness Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. He will also perform 'pooja' and 'darshan' at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple at around 8 PM, an official statement said. In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi won from his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi for the third consecutive time.

Giving free money to farmers reduces labor participation (why should people bother to farm if they are getting free money?) and puts undue tax burden on the middle-class taxpayers who are already struggling to survive. Instead give farmers subsidies on farming equipment and resources. Give them benefits based on the volume of crops they actually produce (and not the area of land they own). This would boost production and reduce costs.

How is it that food has become so expensive, yet farmers are not making profit? Where is the money going? Make stricter laws to prevent the exploitation of farmers and consumers by greedy middlemen.

In every speech of the Prime Minister, the construction of 4.21 crore houses and the construction of 3 crore new houses are being mentioned repeatedly. In fact, the beneficiaries who get these types of housing (especially multi-storied) are living as victims due to its poor maintenance system. To make the Prime Minister aware of this, India Today should interview such victims across the country and broadcast their survey.
