Just think... the time difference between the studio recording and the stadium gig is 42 years and he still has the voice! Most singers voices are just about gone by the time they reach his age-

My oldest son broke me out of hospital twice to see ELO, once to see them in Hyde Park in 2014 and also to sit in a muddy field at Glastonbury in 2016. It was two different hospitals for two different injurie's at the end of my service career. It was always great to see Jeff Lynne's ELO live, even if it meant having to face my wife's anger afterwards. This song reminds me of how much I loved talking to my family when I was posted over seas. I was at that concert with my two daughters on the first night, and my wife on the second which was shortly before I was invalided out of my service to Her Majesty.

I was there, it was out of this world <3 Intro was insane... <3 best memory of my life, the atmosphere was tears and joy. Mr Lynne said this was his best gig ever.. and i was fortunate to be there

Realize that Jeff is almost 70 yrs old here. Not too shabby, and he's still a hottie! 😘 You should watch the whole Wembley Concert, it's amazing! The BBC (British TV) recorded it and I'm pretty sure that you can find the whole televised concert on a cable channel or maybe on YouTube. He enjoyed the concert at Wembley so much that he turned it into a song on his latest album (album released Nov, 2019, called "From Out of Nowhere"). The song is called "Time of Our Life" . Jeff hadn't done a real concert in about 15 years and he was very touched that there were so many people there and that they were dancing and singing all night. If you want to check out any of their albums, I would recommend starting with the double album "Out of the Blue" or "A New World Record" which was the album right before it. It's the album that "Telephone Line" is on.
I listen to Jeff all day, every day! He doesn't even know how to make a bad song!

We saw ELO at Wembley stadium in the 70s, they came out of a giant spaceship!!! Never forget that concert, such long time ago!😁

I was lucky enough to see them in 2015 at Hyde Park, London. It was the first time they had played together in over 30 years, and my god, they were flawless!! Best gig I have ever been to in my life! If you get the chance you MUST go. You will be blown away. How can they be this good 45 years later?? Absolute legends 👌
I love it when youngsters discover "real keep digging, keep discovering, there is a mine field of class bands out there to be found. Old is gold 👌

Jayvee, to add to my pervious comment, you have to remember that this particular song was recorded over 40 years ago and this is how good Jeff Lynne and ELO still are. To see them live, as I have, is a very emotional experience. True legends of highest order 👌

Jeff Lynne is a perfectionist. He is a genius. Sounds the same as on the record and like you said if not better. I saw them live Tampa Florida 2019 absolutely best concert of my life.

My mums dying wish to see Jeff at O2 2019, and fought back the tears over most of his songs, also Mr Blue Sky played on the radio after my daughter was born, his music is so precious to me, thanks Jeff
