Secret Structure of the 10 Commandments

According to the Zohar, God did not write the Commandments on the front and back of the stone tablet, but rather used his finger to write all the way through, revealing a hidden structure that has been overlooked for centuries. Torah scholars believe that the Commandments can be divided into two parallel lists of five items each, with numerous connections and relationships between them waiting to be discovered.

[Recognition] Recognizing others for their humanity (and not killing them) is linked to recognizing God for his divinity.

[Trust] Committing adultery and violating your marriage (present or future) with another is similar to having a false idol and violating your relationship with God.

[Respect] Using the Lord's name in vain is stealing his properties for yourself.

[Word] The truth is sacred. The Sabbath celebrates this truth. Lies would corrupt both.

[Gratefulness] Honor thy father and mother. Do not covet. If you take care of those who have (ideally) taken care of you, there is nothing else you should need or want outside of that. Be thankful and be grateful.

Wow, I gotta say... that makes a lot of sense when put together like that.

"I am your god" and "don't kill" speak to the line, "The Kingdom of God is within Man." That is to say, because God is omnipresent and indivisible, God is you, fully, and you are the entirety of God, but so is every other human. Meaning any harm to an other is actually harm to God, and harm to yourself.

God that is a lecture about love I’d never hear in a church. I’m so used to hearing love in a religious context as something owed, something needed, or you are bad and evil and never whole.
