The original myth for Leviathan has me thinking that the original Leviathan might have actually been an Ascian who created the Sahagin or their ancestors anyways, after the End of Days. His creations grew in number and he grew weaker so they sacrificed themselves to restore his strength and moved by their love of him he returned the favour and gave what was left of his life to create a home for his creations before fading away, his aether finally spent.

Loved this episode, deepening our knowledge of the origin of Eorzean seas, making the game feel more alive. Nice 'deep-dive' into sahagin biology too! It's a real shame you can't "dive" in FFXIV (yet) to check out the marine wildlife. I wonder, what other magical creatures are there? :) According to some sites it was Llymlaen who created the seas, but ofcourse legends can be contradictory! Im very curious about the "Navigator" and her role on the seas throughout history. Thanks for the video! <3

Really interesting vid.
I couldnt be bothered to play all the ARR beast tribe quests to learn all the cultural stuff about them. But its a fascinating subject. Like how kobolds are kind of peaceful but Titan is basicly xenophobia on crack. Just what myth they are summoning it from ? Would love all the primals dissected so to say xd

I have wonder why they chose to use Leviathan to destroy an inhabited region of the Vylbrand so they could have a spawning ground anew. There are other points they could have chosen to avoid hostilities.

You share the lore of the world, but what is your lore? What was your journey through FFXIV like? How did your character become who they are today? Sorry about this odd question, but I am quite curious. And hearing about the professor's past could be a lesson all in it's own.

I have two questions that involve Shadowbringers content regarding Leviathan and the Sahagin.



Do you think this culture also applies to the Ondo with some differences or major differences? We also got our first look at a female Ondo/Sahagin in the form of the Benthos Queen.

Do you think Leviathan, the original concept for him, was a creation of the office of Mitron? Theirs was supposed to be experts in marine biology. I don’t think it’s impossible but no proof, just theory. Almost all the creatures we know of to date, even primals, were the product of concepts made by the Ancients.
