I'm challenging you to track your habits for a week in February! How much are you sleeping, are you on your phone, moving your body, what food are you consuming? it's hard to create a new routine or find healthy habits when you don't realize your routine first!

I’ve made it a habit to get my steps in, all at once, first thing in the morning. I wake up at 5:30am every morning, take care of my 15 year old, diabetic, blind, deaf and totally incontinent dog. (a labor of love) It takes about an hour to feed, medicate, and get him settled down again. Then I get my steps done to avoid losing my ambition. I feel so much better starting my day with steps than ending my day with steps!
I also have an evening routine to prepare for the next morning. Getting coffee pot ready, get birdseed measured and ready, do my dog’s laundry (towels and Potty Buddy pads), and cleaning the kitchen. When I don’t (for some reason) do this prep at night, I’m out of sorts the next morning!
It’s worth it to keep my habits for my peace of mind!
I love the 2day rule! It would be ideal for most habits. 💛

Your checklist tablet has kept me on track. Whenever I don’t feel like working out, I think to myself “but I need to check it off for today”. I really enjoy that checklist so much!😊❤️💄

I LOVE Brussels sprouts! My favorite way to eat them is in a wrap with egg and avocado. I slice up the Brussels sprouts, fry them in olive oil or avocado oil. Sea salt or pink Himalayan salt. When they’re about tender, I push them to the side of the pan, then I fry two eggs. I break the yolk. You could leave it soft. When I flip egg I add a little cheese (you can skip). Then I put it in my wrap, and some avocado. Then I sprinkle nutritional yeast over it. I absolutely love it! (Sometimes I put spinach with the Brussels sprouts when they’re about done cooking)

I love your concept of two a days. I have been incorporating it when cycling. If I feel to sore I'll skip a day then the next day if I want to do something else I might skip too but I know after that I need to even if it's a short workout. It keeps me super motivated and gives me time to recoup when needed.

For me, it was waking up early. I made a habit of waking up at 5:30 in the mornings, feeding my cat colony and do 30 min work out. I don’t workout everyday but I made it habit to do it throughout the weekdays and leave the weekends for rest. I’m also going to sleep early- feel like my energy throughout the day is at 100%, along with cutting out with added sugar in my diet. I’m very happy with this change 💛

I recommend Gretchen Rubin’s book “Better Than Before”! She goes in depth in the type of habit former you are (I am a Questioner) and how to use that personality trait to form and stick to healthy habits! I found her from reading “The Book of Boundaries” by Melissa Urban which I also highly recommend as she teaches you how to set clear, kind boundaries around your habits and life to eliminate the peer pressure that can cause us to backslide. Hope these help someone else like they helped me! Sam, it all started with Thank you thank you thank you for lighting the way!

Thank you so much Sam. So many helpful tips. I really think you have a calling to become what's coming to my mind now as a personal trainer but that's not right. When I'm trying to think of this someone who helped someone get their life in order. For the life of me I can't think of the title. LOL. I think you would be so good at it. You are so smart, and you have so much to give.

I like the 80/20 rule. But I fall short of living that way because I’ll too hard on myself. Will try to work on the 2 day rule.

Sam, these are some of my favorite videos. I'm trying turn my eating around from bad to more whole foods. I'm not going to lie candy and sweets are my downfall. Probably why I'm not where I want to be.

The journaling has made things so easy it is held me accountable all by itself if I fall asleep before I do my daily gratitude I do it first thing in the morning for the previous night. My husband has also been a great accountability buddy.

I am working hard to exercise more and lose some weight this year. I am really enjoying your new channel content!!
