I think this is also somewhat a matter of straight Vs. curly.
I have spaghetti hair and everyone is always amazed how big my hair gets. when I curl it and how heavy it is when someone grabs my ponytail (I hate that, but whatever)

I use thick hair ties and scrunchies... Because for decades i broke every freaking hair tie within 3 uses. 😅 It was so bad at one point i just captured hair ties in my bag😅... Eventually switched to using only ribbons... And then i found the thick hair ties... And use those and scrunchies together to keep my hair up...😅 Claw clips always broke for me...

Well, there’s a difference. I have A LOT of hair but it’s very fine so it doesn’t take up as much space.

Sometimes the claw clip itself is enough to fasten around the hair but not strong enough to actually keep your hair up and secure, so yeah, do i have super super thick hair? No, but it is thick and There is a lot of it and now that it's pretty long it's */HEAVY/* like heavy enough to give me neck pain 😅

I have REALLY long hair, like it’s down to my thighs, and while it isn’t that thick, it DOES take a really big hair clip to put it up. Every single time I take it out and put it down to fix up my hair, my friends comment that it’s so big, LIKE NO SHIT SHERLOCK, ONE OF THOSE TINY THINGS AINT GONNA HOLD ALL OF THIS HAIR?! (For reference, my friends KNOW how long my hair is) 😂😂😂

I have a lot of hair. I Remember my friend giving me her hair band and yeah it kinda broke so i stopped using that type of hair band and always had my own hair band in the backpack
