It doesnt matter how complicated a product is, if your dont release on time the market will respond to that, its more a case of Schreijer not understanding how the markets work. They couldnt care less about how devs are doing or to what development problems they ran into. Nor am I going to fall for this narrative that "due to the advantaged tech gaming development has become so much more difficult & longer". While the truth is that the quality of devs has gone down dramatically in the last two decades. Plus we are still pretty much in the PS4/Xbox One gen considering games hardly made any serious progress (minus a handful of exceptions). Not to mention dev cycles mainly have became longer due to incompetent planning and development reboots due to "creative differences". Till I see the game I'll assume its broken and woke as can be considering their dev teams arent of the quality they once were. And I simply dont trust the people working on the game.
