The synthesizer revolution in the midst of the guitar era.
And wearing very short hair in the 70s... that's rebellious!!!.

Loved the video (so glad to see a cleaned-up version of it), but so saddened about Florian's passing. Gone, but NEVER forgotten.

Yes i agree because in 1974 or 75 aged 10 i would listen to the BBC radio chart on a Sunday evening awaiting Slade & Gary Glitter etc & then came that night when i first heard Autobahn.
I knew my neighbour John recorded this programme & the next night i was at his front door needing to re hear that song. It was the first electronic music i had heard since being very small when our older brother had dragged me into his room to hear the closing half of Switched On Bach - a tune i had never heard being repeated on British radio. God just listening to music could be difficult in the 1970s 😂

This song, when it first came out, made the speaker in my friend’s truck sound like it was going to jump out of the dashboard

was this shot on film? I still can't believe how much got lost in the 80ies and 90ies from using umatic, vhs and such low-res formas.

Do you think Kraftwerk were having some fun with the bbc when they told them they hoped to build jackets with electronic lapels? I like to think so : )

Kraftwerk co-founder Florian Schneider has died at the age of 73.

His fellow band member Ralf Huetter confirmed that Schneider "has
passed away from a short cancer disease just a few days after his 73rd
birthday."

In his statement, Huetter hailed his bandmate as "his friend and companion over many decades."

Schneider and Huetter founded Kraftwerk in Dusseldorf in 1970 and
the band, known for tracks like Autobahn and The Model, was
instrumental in the 'krautrock' movement.
