When I decided to pay attention to saving I had to start small not due to budget constraints but because I wasn't disciplined. I had to build up the habits first. Then it became an addiction lol.

My husband is a big change saver. He will pick up every penny you see on the street and put it in his pocket. We dont have a counting jar but we put them in a big container and go change the money every november for Christmas/our kids birthday(dec 30). We usually have around $700 which is nice lol

For the 52 week challenge next year, I'm going to execute it in reverse. Like the idea of releasing pressure over time instead of building pressure :)

I’m on a super strict budget but I’m doing a Find Change challenge. Saved up $5.65 in the past two weeks. And found $20 today!

I cant wait to open my $5 savings jar! I repurposed an oatmeal container & super glued the lid on. I made it fun looking & have 000 idea how much is in there!

Good tips. The 52 week will not work for me since I get paid semi-monthly AND I never go to the bank to get cash. So, I tweaked it by transferring $5 to savings as soon as my paycheck hits my account. That's on top of the $10 I send to the offspring's account. It's not much, but it feels good to see it all add up.

I love the 52 week savings challenge!! Ive done it the past year but I dont always go in order. Some weeks I may make a little more than others or get money from somewhere and on those weeks I will go ahead and knock out those higher dollar challenge weeks! Then when funds get tight I can do the super small ones and I dont have to miss a week

So glad to see a video like this! So many of these are geared towards people who already make a lot of money. "How I saved $80000 in a year". Yeah, helps to start with a $150, 000 per year salary...

As a Canadian, I’ve seen amazing savings by saving all my change because of our loonies and toonies 😊💕

My bank has the option that when you use your card it will round the charge up to the next dollar and put the difference (so basically the change) into a separate account. I love it.

THANK YOU for having free templates. 😭💓I have a low income job, so I don't have much to spare, but I am so close to paying off debt. It really helps to find a free template here and there!!!!

I'm on a strict budget, but by doing a $40 twice a month simple cleaning (side job) for 8 yrs. I've saved the down payment+ for a small plot of land & cabin for retirement.

We do the 52 week, but don't stress the $1 week one, $2 week two, and so on just because of Christmas at the end. We just check off whatever we can afford that week. ❤❤

I do a slight variation of the 52 week money savings challenge every year. Instead of saving money that corresponds to the week, I use a random number generator on Google to randomly order numbers 1through 52. That way the big amounts are spread out. Sometimes in the latter part of the year, it can be a challenge saving over $200 extra per month, even though it's only $48, $50, etc. per week. By having the numbers random, I still save a set amount each week, but it's a little more evened out.

My father used to keep all his bills in his wallet facing the same way from highest dollar amount to the smallest. ( hundred dollar bills down to one dollar bills) One day, when putting dollar bills back into his wallet from change he got at the supermarket, he said to me that if I respect money, money will respect me. That even includes a penny. Respect that penny! Look at how Kumiko respects her change. Even those pennies in the cup. They're not floating in the bottom of her purse, or rattling around on the floor of her car. Shes putting those pennies to good use for her son. Respect your money!

I save all of my change from my cash envelopes and I use that once it builds up to put towards credit card debit!

Make a slit in an old pickle jar container then super glue the lid on...that way you dont have to spend money on a jar you are just going to smash.

did the small change thing this month and had almost 50 euros in there :) so am pretty pleased
about that... have to look into the other challenges though :P they seem like fun and with the easier amounts it should be doable. had to increase my food budget last month since all the grocceries got more expensive since we also need more fresh fruits and veggies for our toddler...ah well at least with these little savings challenges we can still save some although not extremely much :) but every little bit helps big time.
