I realize most of the comments here are like "you skip it, you get hellfire boss as punishment"...

But honestly it's also jarring narratively too. you start the cinematic at a peaceful meadow then when you skip to the gameplay it's dark, moody, everything's burning and it's a boss fight against something that sounds like it's in pain or something.

Ugh, of course you use the one Dark Souls 3 fight I spent a week grinding out and perfecting before I gave up and called for help to beat. I had phase 1 and 2 mastered, able to clear both without taking a single hit, but that phase Friede can still go choke on a big one all these years later with her broken phase 3.

This reminds me of the time Yuffie Kitsuragi stole all my materia in ff7.

It still the worst thing to happen in any game ever. I was fucking furious. Fighting without magic is hard if you don't buy healing potions.

Then when she's forced to give them back she puts them in the wrong slots. I contemplated mass murder at that point.

But genius move by the developers.

I mean, skipping a cutscene you've never seen before in a game heavily focused on for its story is like playing Dark Souls and trying to skip all the bosses.
