Doctor Who is a British science fiction television series broadcast by the BBC since 1963. The series, created by Sydney Newman, C. E. Webber and Donald Wilson, depicts the adventures of an extraterrestrial being called the Doctor, part of a humanoid species called Time Lords. The Doctor travels in the universe and in time using a time travelling spaceship called the TARDIS, which externally appears as a British police box. While travelling, the Doctor works to save lives and liberate oppressed peoples by combating foes. The Doctor often travels with companions.

I can be paragraph guy today. Martha and the Doctor arrive billions of years into the future in New New York, only to find that the world has become a dystopian nightmare. The last remnants of humanity are quarantined in a perpetual gridlock where mere miles can take years just to travel. Martha is kidnapped by a couple the plans to navigate the fast lane: a dangerous underbelly where no cars fly due to the monsters hiding in the fog below.

The Doctor attempts to brave the toxic smog from all the cars in the gridlock, hopping from car to car to chase after Martha, but hes eventually found and teleported away by the Face of Boe and his attendant, who quarantined humanity in gridlock to protect them from a virus that mutated from the drug "Bliss." Now that the virus is dead, the Doctor helps the face of Boe to unseal the gridlock and show humanity the sun once again, ushering in a new age for mankind. The face of Boe unfortunately used the last of his energy to do this, dying as a result, and imparting his final message on the Doctor: You are not alone
