The case involved a complaint of extortion followed by a separate complaint of sexual assault against the detainee. Despite this, the court concluded that the detainee's involvement in a sexual offense alone does not justify preventive detention. Additionally, the court noted that there was no evidence to suggest that the detainee had a habit of committing similar offenses.
