Making hearing care accessible for all, 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐲𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 (𝐄𝐍𝐓) at 𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐈𝐌𝐒), 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 commemorated 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐲 with an inspiring gathering of 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 & 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 on the theme ‘𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐬: 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐥’.

Young patients aged 𝟒-𝟏𝟖 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 from Bareilly, Moradabad, Pilibhit, Badaun, Nawabganj, Sitarganj, Azamgarh, Rampur, Sitapur, Baheri, Haldwani, Saharanpur & nearby districts, who received 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞-𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 at 𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐈𝐌𝐒, came together to celebrate their journey towards a normal, confident life. Their incredible spirit was on full display as they showcased their talents on stage. A proud moment unfolded when 12-year-old 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢, one of the young cochlear implant patients, took charge as event’s MOC!

Six enthusiastic teams from 𝐌𝐁𝐁𝐒 (𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 & 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐) competed on topics related to hearing loss, cochlear implants & treatment advancements. 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐢 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚 & 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚 (Batch 2021) emerged winners, whereas 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐡𝐢 𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐚𝐥 & 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐥 (Batch 2021) and 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐦𝐲𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥 & 𝐇𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐮 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥 (Batch 2022) grabbed second & third positions each.

The event concluded with felicitation of young children with gift hampers by 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐃𝐞𝐯 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐢, Chairman, SRMS Trust, followed by cake-cutting, bringing joy to the children & their families. In his motivating address, 𝐀𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐲𝐚 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐢, Director Administration, highlighted how SRMSIMS has transformed over 30 lives through cochlear implants, with SRMS Trust funding nearly 10 cases free of cost. Kudos to the dedicated ENT Department for making this initiative a true success.”
