Made friends with a moose backcountry camping 🇨🇦🛶⛺️

Moose are magical and it's rare that 1 comes in visit's up close and personal like this one ⛺️ This was such a truly magical moment when this female moose came and visited our camp then swam away into the sunset 🌅 (yes, moose are good swimmers)

⚠️but you need to remain quiet 🤫 and still if you don't want to scare the moose away. Especially if it's a female, watch for any youngling baby mooses (called calves) because a mama moose will be protective of her little ones 🫎 I hope you get to see a moose one day. 🛑 Do not try and approach the moose as you'll scare it away. They are territorial animals but they'll probably be more scared of you than you are of them 🌲🛶 Respect the space of wild animals as that's their home and you are simply a visitor in their life.
