I don’t agree with her saying the asian thing. And I’m glad and surprised y’all pointing that out. Not even gonna lie I be scared to call dez out bc her fan base is huge and they always got her back and that’s good but they’ll also let her slide with things that may be wrong. And dez herself is outspoken and other big words that I forgot, so I don’t want her to get my msg wrong and dislike me if I do ever call her out.

the amount of people in these comments defending dez for making an ignorant remark and saying "it's just a joke" just goes to show how normalized racism towards asian really is. if you are not asian, you have absolutely NO right to decide what is offensive towards the asian community and what isn't. and yes, generalizing/stereotyping is an example of racial discrimination. even if she's part japanese, she is still very much white passing and will never know the racial (micro)aggressions asian people face. still, being part asian does not give her a free pass to blast out racial discriminatory remarks against asians whenever she wants. learn to educate your favs whenever they say something ignorant in order for them to grow and become a better person, and NOT attack people who are doing so.
