This video showcases the ADPC's urban resilience initiatives in two deltaic cities of Viet Nam under the program
“Urban Resilience to Climate Extremes in Southeast Asia (URCE)”. This program is implemented by the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) in partnership with the Viet Nam Disaster and Dyke Management Authority (VDDMA) and with financial assistance from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad). The program aims to enhance the resilience of two deltaic cities, Nam Dinh, located in the Red River Delta in Northern Viet Nam and My Tho, located in the Mekong River Delta that are prone to various hazards such as typhoons, heavy rains, floods, thunderstorms, cyclones, saltwater intrusion, and riverbank erosion.
