Had my Model Y Performance since last September and love it for all the reasons you stated. Acceleration is amazing and handling is very good (not great) as the weight of the car can overwhelm the suspension at higher cornering speeds. It is not a sports car though. Ride is not plush but not terrible. Glad I got the Performance model as for me it makes the car even more fun to drive. Had to take the car to Tesla serve twice for two body panel alignment adjustments and the white seat material was pulling away from the plastic backing on the driver's seat. All fixed and of course no charge. They game me $100/day Uber credit for transportation. FSD still very much beta and I rarely use it as it is really stressful. Nice to pop it on the charger at night and car is ready to go next morning.

I have a 2020 Model 3 LR DM with acceleration boost. Just ordered a Performance Model Y for the wife. Well the Performance end is for me. LOL Should have it this week. Looking forward to driving it when the wife lets me.
