Do you feel like you wasted your 20s or are you in your 20s now and feel like you're getting nowhere?

27 and yes. I didn't exactly waste my time having fun, I wasted my youth being confused and not knowing what I want... I regret it

But you were a doctor, a fireman, a plumber, a stepded and more in your twenties. Pretty productive twenties if you ask me 👀

I used to think I wasted my twenties. But man I feel like I really took advantage of them and got as much joy out of them as I could. Got a lot of neat memories so no regrets.

It’s funny, because people who worked through their 20s will say they wished they just had fun instead

I'm at that point at 29. Did nothing with my life and now I'm just trying to get used to being on camera, coding, writing and investing. I'm learning all this new technology and have no direction on my channel but I'll figure it out.

Yes I wasted my 20s and I regret it. I really hope I can figure out this coding journey at 41. If you are in your 20s now just keep coding and working and learn to invest your money, read as many books as you can don't waste your time drinking and partying it's honestly way overrated. And hit the gym hard. Your 40 old self will thanks you.

I’m 26, I wasted most by partying, dropping out of college, depressed and focused on relationships too much.(currently in one lol) but I just made the decision to go back to school again for medical and finally having the feeling that I’m on the right track…feels good!

I wasted 18-25 partying and wasting time. Went back to school at 25 and became a programmer. 29 now and i am happy about my career, i'm financially stable and still have the freedom to explore new things. I was naively optimistic and idealistic, and in retrospect i needed to waste those years to learn some hard lessons and become a more grounded person. In that sense, it was never a waste, it was just part of the journey.

This video is very real. As a 30 year old with kids, I completely understand. Very little time amongst working 9-5, taking care of the kids and maintaining the household. I had all the enthusiasm to try out interesting ventures, but zero work ethic in my 20s. Now I have no choice but to have a work ethic and any enthusiasm I had for any ventures is crushed by being incredibly time-poor. I mean I’m super thankful for where I am, but I still can’t help but think “what if I’d applied myself more?”

I got most of the way through a CS degree but just didn’t have the self-discipline to complete it and now it’s too late. It’s not to say don’t have fun in your 20s but you really need to strive to do things that are more meaningful, even if it’s not every second of every day. Strike a healthy balance between having fun and experiencing your younger years, but investing (time more so than money) into your potential future.

This has nothing to do with whether you're in your 20s or 30s. It has everything to do with whether you have your own family or not. A dude can have a family at 21 and still have all the same problems you're facing right now. Many of us childless men in our 30s can not relate, bro.

Great encouragement for those who are young and planning to have a family, for sure.

Changed my career to Dev at 30, it's been 3 years, very very hard almost there, running a startup now, still struggling but almost there...but I don't regret cause I just didn't get the right opportunities at my 20s. Sometimes the uncontrollable forces of life still smash your dreams but the trick is to not give up. Young people listen to this man.

Thanks for keeping it real! I’m 27 now, but I spent most of my 20s in a severely depressed/psychotic state after becoming a young mom. I honestly didn’t plan on living long enough to worry. I never came up with a solid plan. Now, as my son is getting older I realize I NEED to build a solid foundation so I can pass it down to him and his kids someday. That’s what my grandparents were able to do for all of us.

I’ve seen 60 year olds starting new careers sometimes simply for passion. As long as you didn’t harm others during your lull periods it’s all good. Don’t worry about it 👌🏾

I’m at 21 yet I think like this ALL the time. Thank you for putting it into better perspective for me Dorian! I will use your experience to fuel my motivation and passion. I’ve spent my last 3 years building up a niche agency and I promise you I won’t let u down! I would love to be on “pace” with my life :D

Thank your sir. I am 22 years old and I already feel as if I waste too much time. You have done me a favor and hopefully several others my age a favor by warning of us of what is to come. Will do my best to develop better habits moving forward. This is god’s work you are doing!

My biggest regret was eating so much fast food, and staying up late all the time.

Thank you.. a lot of people needed this. I saw your video entitled "It's TOO LATE to get your life together in your 30s" out of nowhere. i've been losing hope of myself, I was looking for a way to have a better life, something to do with my old skills or finding new things, right now I've always been doubtful with myself, i'm 25 turning 26 this year.. but i feel like i have lesser time.. i felt like no achievement and all that... i have very low self esteem, i still am i don't know how i'd start, but i really want to develop. so i was comforted seeing your video.. thank you.
