being a freshmen ( first year in my highschools symphony orchestra) and the soloist flute, was (is)challenging, and i will miss playing this after our concert. Having the honor to play the solo during Intermezzo ( and the other small ones), i will forever charish this piece.

Played this for the first time when I was 13 and I remember how hard it was for me. Played it again at 16 and that has shown me just how much I have improved! This piece is a blast.

La introducción del Acto I (tema 6) me recuerda a mi infancia. Mi mamá tenia grabado este tema en un casette y cuando sonaba con mi hermana nos poníamos a saltar, bailar, muy descontroladas, nos daba una sensación efervescente. Ni sabíamos que era de Carmen, teníamos 3 y 4 pero nos gustaba mucho por el ritmo rápido.
